StopTheMadness is a Safari extension that enhances your browsing experience by preventing websites from hindering your browser functionality, while also safeguarding your online privacy.  <li>Preventing sites from using the Page Visibility API to track tab visibility.</li>
 <li>Stopping URL shorteners by loading the unshortened destination URL instead of the shortened one. This process ensures zero site data tracking or cookie setting.</li>

 <li>Giving you the choice to force links to open in the current tab instead of a new tab by removing the target="_blank" attribute from links.</li>
 <li>Alternatively, forcing links to open in a new tab instead of the current tab. This is particularly useful when navigating through lists of links.</li>
 <li>Ensuring images are brought to the front and allowing access to the contextual menu on websites that utilize transparent overlays, such as Instagram.</li>
 <li>Providing an alert when you exceed the maximum character limit in password fields or other text fields, preventing accidental character loss.</li>
 <li>Offering an "Edit Tab URL" feature that allows you to conveniently edit URLs in a larger editing field, complete with buttons for removing the query, copying the URL, or opening it.</li>
